Whether it was the summer heat or a carefully planned series of debuts, at least 10 South Carolina bands have released or are releasing EPs or full-length albums this August. What would seem like an impressive feat is seemingly becoming the norm. The question is whether there are significantly more bands cropping up in the South Carolina music scene , or has it just become much easier to self-release music in the digital age?
