Man fatally stabbed near new Greenpoint home
A neighbor flashing a box cutter prompted a devout Brooklyn Catholic to move to a different neighborhood — only to get stabbed to death Friday night near his new address.
New details about why George Carroll and his wife chose to move away from Cypress Hills, the neighborhood they loved, added a tragic twist to his murder on a Greenpoint sidewalk.
On Jan. 4, Carroll got into an argument near his former home in Cypress Hills with Steven Lissone, 34, who pulled a box cutter and yelled, “I’ll f---ing cut you!” according to police.
Carroll’s friend Jason Andrew said the fight was over loud music. Cops ID suspect wanted for fatally stabbing Brooklyn man
“He was complaining about some sound issues on his block,” Andrew said.
“I think he thought he could walk up to anybody and say, ‘hey your music is too loud.’ ” Christina Romero Carroll created to GoFundMe page, saying that she wants to give her husband a proper Catholic burial ." src="http://asset...
