Potomac estate to be site of this year’s DC Design House

Over the past nine years, the annual DC Design Houseevent has raised more than $1.78 million for Children’s National Health System. The DC Design House brings together local designers to transform a property and showcase the latest design trends while raising money for an important local cause.
The 10th Annual DC Design House will take place Sept. 30 to Oct. 29 at 9004 Congressional Ct. in Potomac. The four-story, 27,256-square-foot house is listed at $10.28 million by Fouad Taloutand Pascale Karamof Long & Foster Real Estate.
Built in 2009, the house has nine bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, an elevator, multiple kitchens, a ballroom, a home theater and a two-story library flanked by his-and-her offices. The house sits on two acres and includes a pool and a pool house with an apartment and covered terrace.

The Design House will feature the work of 23 designers in 23 spaces inside and outside the house. Four boutiques will be on-site. A cafe and special events will be held in the ballroom to celebrate a decade of the DC Design House.
Proceeds from ticket sales and a portion of sales from the design boutiques will go to Children’s National. Tickets will cost $35.
