Woman charged with attempted homicide in Hunters Ridge stabbing | Local News

A Brownsville woman is facing attempted homicide and related charges for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend Sunday afternoon.

An unidentified witness told Redstone Township police he saw Amy Marie McDonald, 31, of 303 Hunters Ridge cleaning up blood on the sidewalk outside her apartment while Jason Oliver, 34, was holding his side with blood on his clothes, according to court documents.

A Uniontown Hospital nurse notified Redstone Township Police Sgt. John Brant that Oliver was at the hospital with a stab wound at 3:22 p.m. She told police he said he was stabbed at Hunters Ridge, but would not say who stabbed him. Court paperwork indicates he did not want police involved.

At 4:07 p.m., the nurse told police Oliver’s condition was deteriorating. He was having a scan performed when he started coughing and vomiting, causing blood to spray from his stab wound. He was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia by medical helicopter. Oliver would not give Brant any information, police said.

His aunt, Cynthia Oliver, told police she drove her nephew to the hospital, according to court paperwork. She said he told her McDonald stabbed him, court paperwork said.

Officers interviewed McDonald, who denied stabbing her boyfriend. Police found a single drop of blood in the threshold of her doorway.

At the police station, McDonald was quoted in court paperwork as saying, “Just do what you guys want. I don’t care anymore.” Police said she refused to speak further.

She is charged with criminal attempt to commit homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

She is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
