3 hurt, dozens displaced in apartment building fire - Story

- Three people are in the hospital and dozens more have been displaced following a fire at an apartment building in Northeast Philadelphia.

The fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. at a Canterbury Court apartment building on Academy Road and Morrell Avenue.

Three people were taken to the hospital, including one woman who was listed in critical condition.

Firefighters were able to get the flames under control around 1:15 a.m. after arriving on scene about five minutes after getting the call.

Only one unit was affected by the flames, but approximately 50 residents have been displaced while the fire marshal investigates the cause of the fire.

Red Cross is on scene providing assistance
