Orange County apartment complex shooting leaves man in critical condition, cops say

A man is hospitalized in critical condition after he was shot late Monday night at the Villa Tuscany Apartments, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a shooting at 723 Sherwood Terrace Dr. shortly before midnight. When they arrived, they found a vehicle trying to leave the apartment complex with the 24-year-old victim, Lt. Ashley Strange said. The victim was taken to the hospital, and deputies went to the apartment where they believed the shooting occurred, Strange said.

Witnesses identified the suspects as two men but provided few other details, according to the sheriff’s office report.
