PARMA -- Two brothers were shot early Saturday outside Forest Ridge Apartments , 5601 Chevrolet Blvd. Joseph Elsleger, 30, was shot once through the torso and Kenneth Elsleger, 27, was shot once in the neck. Police believe it happened during a robbery attempt. They said the wounds were serious but not critical. On Monday, Kenneth Elsleger was listed in fair condition at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. Police said Joseph Elsleger was also taken to Metro but on Monday a hospital spokesperson said there was no record that he had been there. At least one of the brothers lives at Forest Ridge, police said. AURORA — The city has condemned a unit in the Forest Ridge Apartments complex after a ceiling collapsed Sunday night. Property Standards officials from the city determined the unit was uninhabitable Monday. The ceiling in the low-income unit on the third floor of 1215 Second Ave. in Aurora collapsed Sunday evening after prolonged leaking from a roof, according to tenant Peter Weber . Weber said Monday that he has complained to the Forest Ridge property manager several times about water leaking into the apartment. The roof has leaked water into the apartment for about a year, Weber said. Following rain, at about 6 p.m. Sunday, the ceiling collapsed , leaving chunks of drywall, installation and other materials scattered on furniture and the floor of the third floor unit. …

HSI Properties LLC is beginning work this week on its Drexel Ridge project after buying the 38-acre site, west of S. Pennsylvania Ave. and north of E. Drexel Ave. HSI Drexel Ridge LLC , an HSI Properties affiliate, bought the property from Mary Voelker, of Wauwatosa, for $503,500, according to state real estate records posted Tuesday . The first phase will have 168 apartments in 12 two- story buildings , said Tony DeRosa, HSI Properties executive vice president .
