Attempted robbery reported at Hunt Club Apartments - News - GoUpstate

staff reports Spartanburg police are investigating an attempted robbery after a man told officers someone pulled a gun on him. A police incident report states officers responded to an apartment on Hunt Club Lane early Monday . There, the victim told them a man he didn't know dressed in all dark clothes pointed something at him and told him to "get your hands up," the report states. The man told police he thought the attacker had a gun, according to the report. The report states the man got inside his apartment before anything happened. The suspect is thought to have left the scene, the report states. The investigation is ongoing.

BB Gun Used By Palatine Teens In Failed Hold-Up: Prosecutors

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS , IL — Two Palatine teens face robbery charges after they allegedly brandished a BB gun during an attempted robbery in Arlington Heights over the weekend. Alexy Godoy, 19, and Exequiel Sosa-Barrientos, 18, were each charged with aggravated robbery stemming from the incident Sunday. Godoy is being held in Cook County Jail on $50,000 bail, while Sosa-Barrientos is in custody on $25,000 bail. According to prosecutors, a resident at the Stonebridge of Arlington Heights apartments saw the teens riding a bicycle together as he was driving up to the complex, the Daily Herald reports . Godoy allegedly followed the resident when he exited his car and walked up the stairs to his building behind him, the report stated. Coatesville man shot at Regency Park Apartments

COATESVILLE >> A city man who’s had previous run-ins with the law suffered a non-fatal shooting at the Regency Park Apartments on Monday night, and he’s now in intensive care . Police were called to the 600 block of Victoria Drive at approximately 9:47 p.m. for a shooting, and upon arrival, officers located 25-year-old Jamil Battle, who was shot once in the lower back, police said. Battle was then transported to Paoli Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is currently in the intensive care unit , police said. Coatesville Police Chief Jack Laufer said Battle was found inside an apartment when police arrived on the scene, but it’s unclear where Battle was when he was shot. Police Source: Items From 2 Victims Found in Accused 'Craigslist Killer's' Apartment

Items from two attack victims were found in accused "Craigslist Killer" Philip Markoff's Boston-area apartment, a law enforcement source said. A law enforcement official who spoke on the condition of anonymity told The Associated Press that police found belongings of both women in Markoff's apartment in Quincy, south of Boston. The source wasn't authorized to speak about evidence in the investigation. The official would not confirm reports by the Boston Herald and ABC News that the items seized by police included the victims' underwear and that he appeared to be collecting the lingerie as "souvenirs." OU student killed in shooting at Willowbrook Apartments | News

An OU student died after being shot at an apartment complex near 1852 E. Lindsey St. April 23. The Norman Police Department located 20-year-old Nathaniel Ewing, who was an OU sophomore, in the parking lot of the Willowbrook Apartments complex just before 11 p.m. Sunday night with a single gunshot wound to his abdomen, according to a press release. Ewing later died at a local hospital on April 24, according to the release.  Witnesses said that Ewing and another individual were the targets of an attempted robbery in the apartment complex parking lot , during which two shots were fired, according to the release.  Two suspects drove away from the scene in a light- colored sports utility vehicle , according to the statement. The NPD has identified and interviewed a person of interest, but the incident remains under investigation, and no suspects are currently in custody. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A man was shot near his front door as he arrived to his Westside apartment shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday, police said. The victim had just arrived home at the Canterbury Gardens Apartments at 1500 Lane Avenue when the suspect attempted to rob the victim. During the course of the robbery, the victim was shot once in the leg. The injury was called life threatening by police. The victim was armed and fired back as the suspect. Two homicides in 7 hours bumps city’s killings to 57

Two people were killed over a seven-hour stretch in Charlotte, starting at 7 p.m. Thursday, bringing the city’s homicide total to 57 for the year. Charlotte is on pace to record more than 90 homicides this year, a dramatic jump. Last year, the city had 67. The latest killing occurred shortly before 2 a.m. Friday in the 2300 block of Ginger Lane, off East W.T. Harris Boulevard. The incident began as a carjacking, reported the Observer’s news partner WBTV . Officers said they arrived at the Meadowbrook apartments and found a man and woman who had been shot. The man died, but the woman was taken by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center with non- life threatening injuries , police said. Police identified the dead man as Joshua Anthoni Burris , 23. Authorities initially identified him as Joshua Duckworth. The woman has not yet been identified, but WBTV reported she is 19 years old. Police arrested one man and are searching for a second in a Thursday night fatal shooting that investigators say happened after the two victims posted a photo of themselves holding fistfuls of cash on a social media website .  Jywuan Butler, 19, was killed and his 17-year-old brother was wounded after the two were shot multiple times when two masked men dressed in black clothing entered their Sherwood Hollow Court apartment through an unlocked window about 11 p.m.,   Baton Rouge police said. While police were investigating the shooting at the Butlers' apartment in the 11600 block of Sherwood Hollow Court , they received another report of a third person who had been shot and was in a Canterbury House apartment , which is next to the Butlers' apartment complex.
