Two people shot on Kristin Drive

Two people who were shot late Tuesday night on Kristin Drive are expected to survive their wounds after being rushed to Vidant Medical Center , the Greenville Police Department reported . About 11:50 p.m., dispatchers sent officers to the 100 block of Kristin Drive off S.W. Greenville Boulevard for a report of shots fired, the department reported . When they arrived, the officers discovered that two young men had been shot. The victims, Randell Maleak Turnage , 18, and Robere Summers Coward , 19, were transported to the hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries , according to reports. While on the scene, officers discovered an apartment and an unoccupied vehicle had also been struck by gunfire. There were no additional injuries, although the police report listed two adults, two teenagers and two juveniles living in the building as additional victims. Burglaries: Police received two calls about residential burglaries the evening of Aug. 16. One call involved a home on Warren Road and the second was on Elbur Avenue. Burglary, Parkwood Road: Police were called about 7:45 p.m. Aug. 15 to a home about a break-in. Criminal damaging, Madison Avenue: Police Aug. 17 discovered graffiti painted on a pavilion by the playground in Madison Park. Wheel theft, Olive Avenue: A resident called police about 1:45 a.m. Aug. 15 to report hearing two people talking outside her home. One of them said, "Shut the door." When the woman looked outside, she saw a newer model two- door black SUV in the middle of the street. It began driving away southbound. She also saw a Honda parked in the street with all the wheels missing. Police have said the thieves appear to be targeting Honda vehicles . Coatesville man shot at Regency Park Apartments

COATESVILLE >> A city man who’s had previous run-ins with the law suffered a non-fatal shooting at the Regency Park Apartments on Monday night, and he’s now in intensive care . Police were called to the 600 block of Victoria Drive at approximately 9:47 p.m. for a shooting, and upon arrival, officers located 25-year-old Jamil Battle, who was shot once in the lower back, police said. Battle was then transported to Paoli Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is currently in the intensive care unit , police said. Coatesville Police Chief Jack Laufer said Battle was found inside an apartment when police arrived on the scene, but it’s unclear where Battle was when he was shot.
