ALBEMARLE COUNTY , Va. (NEWSPLEX) -- Multiple people at an apartment complex in Albemarle County had to find another place to sleep after a water main break . It happened at Stone Creek Village Apartments . Albemarle County Fire officials say seven units were damaged after a sprinkler head fell from the third floor. The water trickled down to the apartments below, causing people to quickly gather their belongings and evacuate. There's no word on the total cost of the damage.

ANTIOCH, Tenn. - A child has died in an early- morning apartment fire in Antioch. Three others were injured in the blaze.  The incident was reported before 4 a.m. Monday inside building 9 at the Stone Ridge Apartments on Piccadilly Row. Damage is extensive at Stone Ridge Apartments from a deadly fire. pic.twitter.com/vI199WE91X — Blayke Roznowski (@NC5_Blayke) August 7, 2017 Officials said 3-year-old Elizabeth Dessie died in the fire.  Her father, 33-year-old Endalamaw Dessie Tesfaye suffered burns over 80 percent of his body. Her mother, 32-year-old Ehitayehu Dessie and her 5-year-old brother were in stable condition in the hospital. The blaze was isolated to only one building. Red Cross workers were called in to assist 22 displaced residents .  The cause of the fire was unknown.

PETER Campbell says Ballina has "brand damage" following the publicity about shark attacks in recent years, and cleaning the beaches of flood debris is a simple step to help fix that problem. Mr Campbell is the manager of East Ballina's Grandview Apartments, which has holiday lets. He said he is regularly asked by holiday-makers if it is safe to swim at local beaches. He said the logs which washed up on Lighthouse and Shelly beaches following the floods earlier this year didn't help alleviate visitors' concerns about safety. "Getting trees off the beaches is a start," he said. "It (the debris on the beaches) doesn't make people want to come here."
